Confessions of a Hoarder

So, I was looking through my closet & realized I am a HOARDER!
Definition of Hoarder: Humans may lose the desire to throw away unneeded items because of a feeling of attachment to these items.(wikipedia)

Yes Yes That is me. :( However, I've realized maybe it's not such a bad thing. Most of the clothes I have are probably not biodegradable & no body would want to buy them. So, why don't I find a new place to wear it too or reinvent it!

Article #1 Beauty & the Beast T-shirt

So I absolutely love this shirt. Unfortunately, I outgrew it & can't find the heart to throw it away. So a great IDEA that I had was to cut out that adorable picture & sew it on a plain shirt I have elsewhere in my closet that I probably don't wear. So I get to keep something old & make something new.

Article #2 The Prom Dress

So I got a custom made prom dress. I wore it only once in my life & it has been hanging in my closet ever since. Now I know no one would want to my rustic old dress. However, I got another great IDEA. I can just turn the bottom into a skirt & the top part into a blouse & wear it with different pants or shirts. I get the best of both worlds by wearing something with sentimental value & everyday casual.

Article# 3 The sheer black shimmer sweater
The meaning of sheer means slightly transparent & easily tearable :( Now all I'm left with is a sweater with a hole on the elbow. But hey, I got another great IDEA! I shall turn this sweater into a vest. I would feel like a slightly fashionable school girl but I never owned a vest, so it might be a nice thing to try.

Article# 4 The dress I bought because it was on sale!
I bought this from the Le Chateau Outlet because it was 90% off. Seriously, who can pass up that deal. Although, I stare at this dress wondering when I'm going to wear it, I continue just staring. So, I got a final great IDEA! How about I use the fabrication of this dress & reinvent it into something I can wear everyday. I was thinking of using the skirt & adding the sheer fabric onto a plain black dress I have sitting in my closet. The best of both worlds again.

Finally, I have cleaned out some of my closet. Instead of throwing the clothes away, which is detrimental to the environment. I just recreated them to make the most of my money. Although, this is a small step for sustainability, It's a big leap for humanity.
SO...
BE GREEN & FASHIONABLE!
